Jess Glynne matches Cheryl’s record as she achieves five UK number one singles.

Jess Glynne is the latest person to walk into the Official Charts record books as she becomes the second British female solo artist in history to achieve five UK number one singles.

The only other woman to do so is Cheryl – who scored her fifth solo number one single with ‘I Don’t Care’ last November.

Jess’ latest single ‘Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself’ has jumped 77 places this week to reach the top spot, following her previous number one hits ‘Rather Be’, ‘My Love’, ‘Hold My Hand’, and ‘Not Letting Go’.

Miss Glynne has said that it is ‘an honour’ to be in the Official Chart records book.

“I can’t even begin to explain how awesome it feels to have ‘Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself’ go to number one! The past few months have been one long, emotional journey so to come back to so much love and support is insanely amazing. I just want to say a massive thank you. This is the best feeling ever!”
