Let’s all have a cry over Jennifer Lopez’s ‘Best Of’ tracklisting

The people behind Jennifer Lopez’s first retrospective collection Dance Again… The Hits clearly didn’t have us poor UK fans in mind when deciding what would make the cut. Let us examine:

1. ‘Dance Again’ ft. Pitbull
2. ‘Goin’ In’ ft. Flo Rida
3. ‘I’m Into You’ ft. Lil Wayne
4. ‘On the Floor’ ft. Pitbull
5. ‘Love Don’t Cost a Thing’
6. ‘If You Had My Love’
7. ‘Waiting for Tonight’
8. ‘Get Right’ ft. Fabolous
9. ‘Jenny from the Block’ (Track Masters Remix) ft. Styles & Jadakiss
10. ‘I’m Real’ (Murder Remix) ft. Ja Rule
11. ‘Do It Well’
12. ‘Ain’t It Funny’ (Murder Remix) ft. Ja Rule & Caddillac Tah
13. ‘Feelin’ So Good’ (Remix) ft. Big Pun & Fat Joe

OK so, on the face of it, hurrah for the early classics – ‘Waiting For Tonight’, ‘If You Had My Love’, ‘Get Right’… woop all round. But HANG ON A SECOND. Where is ‘Play’? ‘All I Have’? ‘I’m Glad’? Anybody seen the original (and far superior) version of ‘Ain’t It Funny’? And why are we being given some remix of ‘Jenny From The Block’? Why fork out for the Deluxe Edition just to hear ‘Let’s Get Loud’ tagged on the end? Sorry J-Lo, this won’t do at all… and it’s nearly as random as that utterly ridiculous Britney Spears collection that came out last week.
