Jenn Bennett needs no introduction. She’s the mastermind behind some of your fave YA novels like ‘Night Owls’ and ‘Starry Eyes’.
Of course, one thing you probably didn’t know about her is that she once drew Harry Potter naked. Nope, we’re not kidding and we have proof!
This summer, Jenn is back with a new book. Entitled, ‘Alex Approximately’, it’s a romance story like no other and follows your soon-to-be fave YA lovebirds, Mink and Alex.
So what’s the story? Well, Mink and Alex met on an film app. The two share a love for the cinema and speak almost daily about their passion for movies and old Hollywood flicks. It all sounds like a dream, right? Not quite.
Mink and Alex have never met, they don’t even know each other’s real names. So when Mink moves in to live with her Dad, who conveniently lives in the same Californian town that Alex is from, she tries to track him down. Hurdles get in her way, including her summer job at a local museum and the annoyingly charming security guard, Porter Roth. Will she ever find Alex? We sure hope so.
Maximum Pop! recently had a natter to Jenn Bennett and asked her to fill in our Bookish Quiz Sheet. This is where her nude drawing of Harry Potter comes in.

He could be any one of these people.
After all, I don’t know what Alex looks like. I don’t even know his real name. I mean, we’ve been talking online for months now, so I know things that matter. He’s smart and sweet and funny, and we’ve both just finished our junior year. We share the same obsession—old movies. We both like being alone.
