This Japanese rice water trend will change how you wash your hair forever

For centuries, Japanese women have been washing their hair with rice water (yes, actual water that they’ve boiled rice in) to stimulate hair growth, make strands stronger and improve scalp

Beauty bloggers have been hailing the organic ‘hair water’ trend for months but it sounds like a lot of effort to us – y’know, boiling rice and all that stuff just to wash your hair. Bit odd.

You don’t have to worry about it any more, though, as a new product made from rice water can do all the hard work for you and is perfect for lazy girls (like us).

Ash & Nectar’s all-natural ‘Rice Water Hair Milk‘ formula includes real rice water, rosemary for penetrating hair strands, lavender for conditioning and argan oil for treating split-ends.

So how does it work? It’s simple really:

  1. Wash and shampoo hair as normal
  2. Massage rice water into scalp and work your way down to the roots
  3. Sit back and relax for 5 minutes while the milk does its magic
  4. Rinse
  5. Admire your effortlessly gorg healthy hair

And that’s it! Looking flawless has never been so easy.
