James Bourne says shelf lives are for tuna sandwiches, not pop groups like One Direction

James Bourne, from Busted, Son of Dork, and of course, McBusted, recently tweeted what every One Direction fan has been thinking since news of their possible hiatus broke.

He’s clearly just as sick as Jimmy Kimmel is of the “One Direction is going in different directions” jokes. Even BBC tweeted to remind everyone just how much One Direction has accomplished over the past five years.

James also tweeted, “And people who use the world ‘shelf life’ must be confused. A tuna sandwich has a shelf life. A pop group can get back together.”

After five non-stop years, One Direction taking a break does not make them a tuna sandwich about to expire (did we get that right, James?). They can stop and start as much as they want; take a break and come back fresh. And we’ll always have their backs.
