James Bay recently announced that he’s partnering with Talenthouse and the British Film Institute on a new short film challenge.
Taking their inspiration from James’ album Chaos And The Calm, filmmakers are invited to created 1-2 minutes videos, and one filmmaker will be given the opportunity to work alongside James and expand their concept into a 12-15 minute video.
As if that isn’t cool enough, their video will also be screened at the BFI Future Film Festival in London this February and the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas this March.
Two runners up will be also given further budget to create 4-5 minute films that will be promoted across all James Bay channels.
James says, “I’m looking forward to collaborating with Talenthouse and finding someone who can capture the mood and atmosphere of my new album Chaos And The Calm. Your idea can range from a simple story with a few protagonists to something more abstract—if that’s what you’re feeling! I’m a big fan of short films that make people think differently. Really excited about this project and look forward to seeing all your ideas!”
