We all know that J.K. Rowling is brilliant at what she does. Some may say she’s magical, even. Okay, okay, you’ll have to forgive us for that pun but we couldn’t resist.
Fans of J.K. will be pleased to know that she has a brand new TV show coming to BBC One later this month.
The show’s called ‘The Cuckoo’s Calling’ and it’s an on-screen adaption of J.K.’s book, which she published way back in 2013 under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith.
The story follow’s Detective Cormoran Strike investigating a supermodel’s suicide. Cormoran has lost his leg in Afghanistan and is barely making any money as a private investigator.
Down to his very last client, he needs to help John Bristow figure out how his famous supermodel sister ‘The Cuckoo’ died. Was it suicide or was it something more sinister?

Sadly, there’s not a witch or broomstick in sight. But don’t let that put you off. Associated Press recently posted an interview with the cast of ‘The Cuckoo’s Calling’ on YouTube.
In the video you can see a sneak peek of a couple of scenes and it looks incredible.
‘The Cuckoo’s Calling’ starts on BBC One at 9pm on Sunday 27th August. Will you be watching it? Let us know in the comments below.
