Meet Ryan Beatty: The new pop heartthrob Troye Sivan fans will love

Moving from being a child star to an adult superstar is hard work. The likes of Selena Gomez and Zendaya have done it successfully, whereas lots of others… well… haven’t.

One guy who has done it particularly well is Ryan Beatty, who’s gone from making acoustic pop to cool electronica. Basically, if you love Troye Sivan, you’re going to love Ryan.

Ryan started off his career back in 2011, when he started uploading videos of himself singing on YouTube. His most watched video is this cover of Bruno Mars’ ‘Marry You’, which has got a huge six million views.

He then started releasing his own music, with his debut single ‘Every Little Thing’, which sounds like a cross between Olly Murs and One Direction.

However, he’s totally eclipsed how good that is with his new single ‘Passion’. The track is a complete change of direction from the laid-back acoustic pop of his earlier material, moving towards a cooler, electro-pop sound. ‘Passion’ is a killer track that sounds like a smash hit to our ears.

It’s pretty good, isn’t it?

Not only is his music great, but he’s also super cool. He came out as a “raging homosexual” in a heartfelt Instagram post, in which he talks about the struggles of trying to hide his sexuality.

Literally, what a guy.

Oh… and we almost forgot to mention, he’s super cute:
