Ricki-Lee Coulter first came to the public’s attention back in 2003, auditioning for Series 1 of Australian Idol. Despite not progressing past the first stages, Ricki-Lee (she doesn’t bother with the surname!) returned for Series 2, storming through to the live shows and eventually finishing in 7th place.
After a debut album and a couple of hits, she joined three fellow former Idol contestants to form a band called Young Divas. The girls released an album of cover versions in 2006 before Ricki-Lee decided to leave the band, racking up a further three top ten solo singles. The brilliantly catchy ‘Can’t Touch It’ even featured on the Sex and the City 2 film soundtrack!
Following support slots for Hilary Duff and the Backstreet Boys and a stint as a guest mentor on the Australian version of The Voice, the former talent show star is now onto her third solo album, Fear & Freedom.
Here’s her current single, ‘Crazy’:
We hope to see Ms Coulter over in the UK very soon!
