Alarm Pop: US pop veteran Ingrid Michaelson returns with ‘Girls Chase Boys’

What are three of our favourite things? American singers, banging pop tunes and men dressed as women (well, we do love a bit of RuPaul’s Drag Race) – throw all of that together and what do you get? Today’s Alarm Pop: Ingrid Michaelson’s ‘Girls Chase Boys’.

Condragulations Ingrid, we think you’ve got another hit on your hands.

‘Girls Chase Boys’ was first released in the US in February 2014 but, of course, being the UK we’ve had to wait seventeen months to get it. Standard.

The music video for the track – which is inspired by Robert Palmer’s ‘Simply Irresistible’ (ask your parents) – has already racked up a massive 10 million views on YouTube and Ingrid has had everybody from Sam Smith to Taylor Swift singing their praises for ‘Girls Chase Boys’.

Are we the only ones getting Girls Aloud ‘Biology’ vibes from those black and red outfits? We think not.

Ingrid Michaelson (FINALLY) releases ‘Girls Chase Boys’ in the UK on July 24.
