Alarm Pop: Indila ‘Dernière Danse’ – Amazing new pop music from France!

If the success of PSY’s Gangnam Style has taught us anything, it’s that you don’t need to understand a song to be able to enjoy its general amazing-ness. It’s with that in mind that we bring you Indila and her epic new single ‘Dernière Danse’. HRRRNNNK. ALARM POP.

Indila has already been making waves in her native France where she’s written features for various French rappers and built up a big following in the hip hop and r&b world.

‘Dernière Danse’ – translation: ‘Last Dance’ – is a properly dramatic and completely OTT pop song, building from a slow burning bass line into an anthemic swirl of massive drums, strings and monk-style chants, while Indila’s goosebump inducing voice becomes more and more desperate with each chorus. It’s exactly the kind of song we’d expect to soundtrack the apocalypse or a particularly bad break up.

The song has already been a big hit in Europe but we hope it’ll get some well deserved attention here in the UK as well.
