So we’re pretty much agreed that we all like music right? In the words of Rihanna “This Is What We Came For’, except it should be this is what we LIVE for.
So you can imagine when I took on this challenge I found it a slightly daunting prospect.
I started the day by getting up and NOT listening to the radio.
Instead of bopping along while eating our cereal. I sat in stony silence. The deafening crunch of the wheat, which may or may not have been shredded, between my teeth was too much for me to bear.
I opened my laptop and sat down to work. I had no idea I typed so loud and obnoxiously. I suddenly started to feel a great sympathy for everyone who sits by me at coffee shops.
I’M SO SORRY WORLD!
I just couldn’t concentrate. My usual vigor and drive was gone. All I wanted was to eat. I was so bored I wanted to eat. THIS IS MADNESS!
At times like this I just want to lay in bed and listen to sad music, just like Aria.
BUT I COULDN’T EVEN DO THAT!
I CRACKED OK!!!! IT BROKE ME!
I BLOODY WELL CLICKED PLAY ON SPOTIFY!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRHHH
And suddenly… the world was right again.
The sweet music flooded my ears. It was beautiful. Better than food. YES! Even better than food. I died of happiness right then and there….
But I was sent back to earth by some divine force for a reason. At first I didn’t understand. But then it became clear. My purpose (like Justin Bieber‘s purpose) was to spread the message that music is essential for life. We need it. We breathe it.
I must now shout it from the rooftops. Hear my cry.
