Lion Babe have collaborated with H&M for the most bad-ass feminist campaign yet

Lately, it seems like the world of fashion has turned *SERIOUSLY* bad-ass.

From Leomie Anderson’s epic line of consent, to the announcement of the first black spokesperson for Victoria’s Secret‘s PINK,  we’ve seen some amazing changes happening on the style scene this month.

And now H&M have come at us with their offering of empowerment. For their autumn campaign, the high-street fave have collaborated with Lion Babe, and the result is jam-packed FULL of #girlpower.

The soundtrack to the ad is a slightly more, let’s say, up-to-date version of Tom Jones’ She’s a Lady’ – and let us tell you, it sounds sassy af.

With the help of some empowering visuals, Lion Babe have transformed the original misogynistic track into a feminist anthem.

While we hear the words ‘She’s the kind I like to flaunt and take to dinner…but she always knows her place’, we see images of women leading boardroom discussions, sitting however they want on the tube, and eating whatever takes their fancy.

It’s a simple concept, but this ad serves as a reminder that ‘femininity’ is a seriously dated concept, and that us women can (and SHOULD) act however we want.

And Lion Babe’s Jillian Hervey  isn’t the only amazing woman to feature in the campaign. The ad also includes GURLS TALK founder Adwoa Aboah, powerhouse designer and entrepreneur Pum Lefebure, trans actress Hari Nef and 72-year-old legend Lauren Hutton.

With so many amazing faces on board, H&M have covered racial equality, LGBT+ representation, age diversity AND a range of different body sizes. We salute you, H&M.
