The dreamy Harry Styles has been chatting about the songs that have influenced his life ahead of the release of One Direction’s ‘Made In The A.M.’ album (OH MY GOD IT’S TOMORROW).
Our bae was asked to select a number of tracks that have shaped his own taste by Entertainment Weekly and here are his answers…
What was the first piece of music you bought yourself?
“I think it was ‘Bat Out of Hell’. Meatloaf. I think I was about 10. I used to listen to a lot of my dad’s music and my mum’s music. They already had that album that I listened to, and then my dad lost his ‘Bat Out of Hell’; so I went out and got one.”
What was the first song you performed in public?
“It was a solo rendition of Frank Sinatra’s ‘My Way’, I was aged nine. I was at a karaoke machine in a pub and I was not very confident.”
Which song do you wish you had written?
“Paul Simon’s ’50 Ways To Leave Your Lover’. I think the verse in that song is one of the best verses ever written. It’s incredible.”
No Harry, it is you that is incredible.
