‘Harry Potter & The Cursed Child’ will be a sequel to ‘Deathly Hallows’. We’re screaming.

When we heard the news that there was to be a Harry Potter stage show, we almost peed ourselves with excitement but were obviously worried that a side-story may tarnish the legacy of our favourite book and film series – Viva Forever: The Spice Girls musical, anybody? – but all doubts have disappeared as it’s been announced that it will be a BRAND. NEW. HARRY POTTER. STORY. That’s right, we’re getting a sequel.

Yes, you’re understanding this all right, Daniel Radcliffe‘s most famous role is returning but this time as a married father-of-three.

A statement on Pottermore reads: “It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.”

Next summer can not come soon enough.
