Between the ‘Cursed Child‘ opening this week and ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them‘ being set for release this coming winter, we’ve felt pretty spoilt in terms of JK Rowling’s wizarding world. In fact, we’ve been toasting our butter beers and getting our robes dry cleaned in preparation for all the magical festivities. And now it turns out there’s more. Best of all, it’s free.
Ngl, anything that is free is music to our ears and this particular ‘Harry Potter‘ experience is pretty wonderful.
On 26 Greek Street in Soho, London, a quirky, wonky little building, reminiscent of the shops found on Diagon Alley, has opened up. It’s called the House of MinaLima and it showcases all the wonderful graphic design work done by Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima for all the HP films.
As well as a shop on the bottom floor, in which you can purchase 1 of 100 sketches and prints used within the film, school notebooks and other trinkets, there is also three more floors exhibiting Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima’s work. And you might just see some familiar and comforting sights.
We went along and it was seriously Instagram-worthy.
The opening of the House of MinaLima was announced over on Pottermore, along with a BTS video of the little nook in London being put together.
We’d seriously recommend you pay the shop a visit if you’re in the area and a bit of a Potterhead. If you have already, give us a tweet @maximumpop and tell us what you thought. We’re so pleased that HP has kept the magic going even after all these years. It’s seriously the best.
