Haim have covered Beyonce’s ‘XO’ and to say we like it is a bit of an understatement. Yes, honestly, it’s that good.

Pop-rock trio Haim are already pretty darn awesome – they gave us our late summer jam The Wire’ which remains on steady circulation to this day – but they’ve gone and confirmed their status as proper popstars by covering Beyonce in BBC’s Live Lounge. Yes, we’re excited too.

The girls chose to cover recent Brits-premiered track ‘XO’ when they popped into Radio 1 for the Live Lounge. The rendition is surprisingly – or perhaps not so surprisingly – done well with the girls’ vocals providing a cool and alternative view of Beyonce’s song, particularly when accompanied only by the stripped-back guitars and drums.

Is it better than Beyonce’s? No, but it’s different and cool and you can’t knock a good cover version can you? No, we didn’t think so either.

Check out Haim’s ‘XO’ cover version down below and let us know in the comments below who you think did it better.
