This Alarm Pop brings you one of our new favourite teen stars, as well as re-introducing a massive track that your parents (especially your mums) will love.
17-year-old Grace (we don’t know her surname yet, she’s pulling a Madonna) has teamed up with rapper G-Eazy (us neither) to cover what is considered to be one of the first ever female empowerment tracks. SALUTE!
The duo have collaborated on a new electro hip-hop version of Lesley Gore’s 1963 classic ‘You Don’t Own Me’, which was produced by Quincy Jones – the man behind some of Michael Jackson’s hits.
POP FACT: You may recognise the track as the original is featured in the 1996 comedy film ‘The First Wives Club’. Or are you too young to remember that? Probably. Oh God.
