BREAKING: George Shelley removed from Union J over “commitment issues”

It’s a sad, sad day for boyband fans as it’s been revealed that George Shelley has been removed from Union J due to a lack of commitment since he left ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The remaining, and original, members of Union J – Josh Cuthbert, JJ Hamblett, and Jaymi Hensley – confirmed the news in an interview with The Sun.

Josh told that it was him that broke the news to George, saying: “I wrote a really strong email. We basically gave him an ultimatum. It was, ‘You’re either in the band or you’re not’.”

He added: “I’m not going to lose any sleep over him not being in the band.” Ouch!

However, Jaymi admitted: “It’s heart-breaking. I spoke to him the other day and I said I’m heartbroken over this. I am absolutely devastated. This is taking up all my time and affecting my home life.”

A brand new fourth member of Union J will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Maximum Pop! wish both George and Union J the best of luck in the future.
