Fifth Harmony reveal that ‘Worth It’ nearly wasn’t even on the ‘Reflection’ album. WHAT!?

It’s June 2015, Fifth Harmony’s ‘Worth It’ has gone platinum in the US, they’ve performed the track in front of 80,000 people at Capital FM’s Summertime Ball and are gearing up for it’s UK release by even starring in their own movie based around the music video (kind of). But all of this nearly didn’t happen as the girls have speaking out about how they didn’t even think ‘Worth It’ was going to make their ‘Reflection’ album. CAN YOU IMAGINE A WORLD WITHOUT IT!?

It was Lauren who first threw the spanner in the works telling Complex: “I honestly didn’t think it was going to make the album.”

But it was good ole’ Dinah Jane who calmed us all down and let us know it was just because it was originally Kid Ink’s song (well we already knew that, duh!)

“It’s funny, because we walk into the studio – we were given this song – and it was basically Kid Ink’s song. There were no females on the song,” she explained. “When Stargate gave us the song, we changed some of the lyrics and a bit of the concepts to make it fit our perspective. Then we went into the studio without thinking we were ever going to take it this far. We’re feeling very blessed with how it’s doing.

“They always say it’s the song you don’t expect that pops. That was definitely the one we weren’t expecting.”

Oh Dinah, you pessimist you. We knew it’d be big as soon as we heard those trumpets!
