Fifth Harmony speak about naming their new album after the day they were formed

We all teared up with pride when Fifth Harmony announced that their second studio album would be named ‘7/27’ after the day they were formed, didn’t we?

Normani Kordei and Lauren Jauregui have been speaking about the album title to a U.S. radio station and revealed how the commemorative title came about.

Normani says: “Well, I thought it would be a good idea to have a number. I was like, ‘Hey girls, don’t you think it would be cool, visually, to have a number?’ Then Lauren texted and was like, ‘Hey… 7/27‘. I asked, ‘What’s that?’ and she was like, ‘That’s the day we were formed!'”

How could you forget, Mani!?

Lauren stepped in to add: “So, we commemorated it. That was when we were formed, this is our new era and this is us being born again.”

We’re all for the girls being reborn but don’t forget the old you, yeah? #JusticeForSledgehammer
