Big Hero 6 just got better: Fall Out Boy’s ‘Immortals’ for movie soundtrack

Since their hiatus between 2010 and 2012 (or what felt an eternity), Fall Out Boy have been picking momentum as one of the best bands on the alternative rock scene. You can’t really get any better than winning World’s Best Alternative Act at the World Music Awards, not to mention the various awards they won since they regrouped in 2013.

Now, the boys are taking on something a little different than they’re used to – a track for an animated kids’ film.

Big Hero 6, due in cinemas January 2015, is the story of Hiro Hamada, a tech-whiz from San Fransokyo, and his adorable, inflatable robot, Baymax, plus their assortment of tech-savvy friends, trying to protect their city from a sinister plot. Obviously, especially seeing as its from the creators of award-winning film, Frozen, this is going to be one impressive film.

Not only has Big Hero 6 bagged a Fall Out Boy song for its soundtrack, but even their massive single ‘My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light ‘Em Up)’ is included in the trailer.

With all the energy and intricate rhythms you can expect from Fall Out Boy, not to mention the killer vocals from lead singer, Patrick Stump, this is one track definitely worth a listen.
