Some major changes have taken place on all our fave social networking sites recently. So many, in fact, we’re beginning to lose track.
First up, Instagram added new slideshow galleries to our accounts. It completely upped our ‘grams aesthetic, so we love it.
Next up, Twitter removed @ handles from the character count in replies so we can now use more characters to tweet Harry Styles.
Facebook is the latest site to make a massive huge change, though, and tbh guys, we’re not too sure whether it’s for the better or not.
Why? Well it means we can’t stalk our FB crushes without them knowing anymore.
THE. SHOCK. THE. HORROR.
So, what’s this new feature, then? Well, if you haven’t already seen, it’s Facebook’s new ‘stories’ update. All die-hard ‘grammers and Snapchatters will know what we’re talking about. You’re probably already using something similar, after all.
But for those who have no idea how it works (or those who need something to show their Dad to explain to him what the heck it is!) we’ll give you a brief explanation.
Basically, the feature allows you to upload a photo or video onto your account that’ll exist for 24 hours. After that it’s gone and in true Harry Potter-style *poof* vanishes.
Sounds like a great way to snoop on people, right? Well, watch it because there’s a catch. Just like Instagram and Snapchat, Facebook stories tells the person who posted the photo/video who has viewed it.
So in other words, *that* cute guy from school will totes know if you’re stalking him. Proceed with caution, friends, proceed with caution.
