We’ve reached that time – it’s the last round of MP!’s Euro 2016 competition.
Fear not though, cos the last five winners will be in the final next week. However that leaves one spot empty. The last four artists are a pop princess from Hungary, a Portuguese hunk, an Austrian diva with arguably the world’s most famous beard and an Icelandic electro pop man.
Once you’ve got your fave, don’t forget to vote in the poll below.
🇭🇺 Hungary: Gigi Radics
Gigi Radics is a nineteen year old popstar from Hungary, who won their talent competition ‘Megasztár’ in 2012. She has also tried to represent Hungary twice in Eurovision, but has lost out on both occasions. We adore her song ‘Beauty Sleep’, with it’s throwback doo-wop vibes. If you loved Meghan Trainor’s first album, you will love this.
🇵🇹 Portugal: Diogo Piçarra
It may be super hot in Portugal right now (it’s going to be 34 degrees at the weekend), but one man cooling things right down is Diogo Piçarra. Much like Gigi Radics, Diogo won a talent show back in 2012, winning ‘Idolos’. We really love Diogo’s track ‘Breve’ (which translates as ‘Soon’), with it’s sparse production and Diogo’s flawless vocal.
🇦🇹 Austria: Conchita Wurst
Conchita Wurst is an artist who really needs no introduction. We first met Conchita when she won Eurovision in 2014, with the epic ‘Rise Like a Phoenix’. Since then, she’s gone on to tour the world, as well as releasing her own album. Aside from ‘Rise Like A Phoenix’, we are completely obsessed with Conchita’s 90s house inspired ‘Firestorm’. It’s getting us ready for the weekend.
🇮🇸 Iceland: Ásgeir
In a country with a population of just 332,529 (there are more people in Birmingham), you might think there would be a shortage of talent. But fear not, because they have an amazing singer called Ásgeir. The multi-talented singer makes super cool, chilled acoustic music with an electro edge. If you love Ed Sheeran or Jack Garratt, you’ll love him.
