Are you ready for four more amazing popstars to do battle in MP!’s Euro 2016 competition?
We thought so.
Competing today are the cutest singer in Spain (we imagine), a Croatian lady with songs that are cool for the summer, the Turkish Cheryl (she’s literally done everything) and a new boyband from the Czech Republic.
As usual, don’t forget to vote in the poll at the bottom.
🇪🇸 Spain: Abraham Mateo
You might recognise Abraham Mateo from his support slot on One Direction’s ‘Where We Are Tour’. He’s also one of Spain’s biggest singers, with millions of views on Vevo and over five million likes on Facebook. It’s not difficult to see why too; his single ‘Old School’ is a cool throwback bop that doesn’t feel cheesy. He also has unbelievably well-styled hair, which is a big plus.
🇭🇷 Croatia: Lana Jur?evi?
It’s always good to have a back-up plan when starting any career. Along with being a popstar, Croatia’s Lana Jur?evi? also did a Journalism degree at the University of Zagreb. With bops as good as hers though, we’re not sure whether she’ll need it any time soon. We particularly love her song ‘Neke Se No?i Ne Spavaju’ because it’s the perfect summer holiday anthem.
🇹🇷 Turkey: Hadise
Along with being a singer, Hadise is a judge on the Turkish series of ‘The Voice’, and is a television presenter. In fact, she’s so famous in Turkey that there’s a hair salon named after her (new life goal). She represented Turkey in Eurovision in 2009, but her music has got better and better. Last year’s ‘Prenses’ (translation: ‘Princess’) is particularly great.
🇨🇿 Czech Republic: United5
United5 were formed on the Czech television show ‘Project Boyband’, which aimed to put together the next big boyband. Frankly, this television show should exist in every country. The boyband created were United5, who are Marthy, Matt, Peter, Norbert and Mario. Their debut single ‘Longest Summer’ reminds us of the best One Direction ballads.
