We already know that (Dr) Ed Sheeran will have some involvement in the new ‘Bridget Jones’ Diary’ movie as the cast shot scenes at his Croke Park, Dublin concert earlier this year, but it seems that Ed might being showcasing his acting skills once again as he’s supposedly scored himself a speaking role.
After starring in ‘The Bastard Executioner’ and landing a cameo in Aussie soap ‘Neighbours’ earlier this year, Mr Sheeran’s next acting role will be alongside Renee Zellweger, Colin Firth, and Hugh Grant in ‘Bridget Jones’ Baby’ if sources are to be believed.
The Sun reports: “Ed was really keen to be part of the movie after granting access to film at the gig. He’s got experience playing himself in Home and Away and is not daunted by the prospect of starring alongside Renee…Bridget Jones is a huge British film so he feels nabbing a cameo is a bit of a coup. He just hopes he’ll make the final cut.”
We hope you do too, Ed!
