How popular are your dystopian opinions?

With the release of Sarah Govett’s ‘The Territory: Escape’ this week, we thought we’d celebrate by seeing how well you MP!ers would hold up in the face of your own dystopian reality. What would you do to half the world’s population? Would you go on smarts like in ‘The Territory’ or start your very own Hunger Games? Could you sacrifice yourself for the greater good?

Let us know how far you’d go in the comments below.

First we asked you to be a cruel, cruel person. If you had to kill half the world’s population to save the other half, how would you go about it?

You thought GCSEs were hard? How about this literal life-or-death exam. Apparently  most of you believe that a test of intelligence, just like in ‘The Territory: Escape’ is the best way forward – We know you need this book in your lives so buy it now while it’s still hot off the press.

Some people felt very strongly about who got to live and who died:

But what if your BFF was on the kill list?

Well duh – of course you’d be out in the wilds saving them, even at the risk of your own life.  Just like Noa and Jack, there’s an unsaid vow between you and your besties that you’ll always be there for each other come rain, shine or, um, death sentence.

Next up: family or the entirety of the human race and civilisation as we know it?

No contest, apparently. Only 12% are selfless enough to put the whole world before their loved ones.

But apparently a whole lot more people were willing to give themselves up to save everybody else:

This is heartwarming! At least we know if we ever ended up in a barren world we’d have a good selection of “Chosen Ones” to sacrifice to the bad guys.  It’s also kind of crazy too though. Let us know in the comments if you’d be willing to give yourself up or if you’d be part of the 53% saying not a chance.

Even in the most action-packed, thrilling dystopian books there’s always time for a little smoochy smooch, right? We reckoned so but it seems most people would rather live than get themselves all caught up in an epic love triangle. Huh.

What are all your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments below. If you don’t have a copy yet, make sure you enter our comp over here – or better yet, grab one for yourself now. It’s the next best thing since ‘The Hunger Games’. Trust us.
