We don’t know about you, but we reckon Reggie N Bollie were the best thing about ‘The X Factor’ last year.
They may not have been able to belt out the ballads like Louisa Johnson or Lauren Murray but, like Cheryl, they had us up dancing week-on-week.
Now Reggie N Bollie are back with their debut single ‘New Girl’, and we had a sneaky listen to it a few weeks ago when we joined them to film a top secret video, which you’ll be able to see very soon. Read on to find out what it sounds like, and have a listen to a catchy clip!
First thing’s first, unfortunately it’s not an ode to our favourite television show starring Zooey Deschanel. Although, post-‘Gogglebox’, maybe more pop stars should sing about their favourite TV shows (we’re thinking DNCE singing about ‘Jane The Virgin’).
‘New Girl’ is obviously about a ‘new girl’ in their lives. We’ve all been there, haven’t we? The excitement, the butterflies.
Well, imagine that, coupled with a Caribbean-inspired track and you have the sound of our summer. Now, if only it was a little warmer.
The track was put together by a top team including Teddy Geiger, who penned ‘Little Black Dress’ for 1D, the production team behind ‘Wings’ by Little Mix, and ‘Moves Like Jagger’ writer Ammar Malik.
Listen to a clip of the single below, and if you pre-order, it’ll be hitting your iTunes library next Friday, just in time for the start of summer.
