You can DM One Direction & Little Mix WITHOUT them following you.

Begging your fave popstar for a follow can be a full time occupation ‘you’re my sunshine, please follow me x98763’.

But soon you’ll be able to save your copy and paste fingers as Twitter is bringing in the ability to send and receive direct messages without the accounts having to follow each other.

Users can now change settings and opt to allow DMs from any profile. Don’t worry though, you can still opt for the old version to keep your online privacy and there’s still the block function for anyone hating.

So how do you know if your fave bae has opted in for this direct messaging delight? You’ll be able to see a new DM button on profile pages when access Twitter though your Android or Apple phone.

Speaking about the new changes Twitter said, ‘We hope these changes help you connect more easily, and directly, on Twitter with the people, causes and businesses you care about most.’
