‘Demon Road’: MP!er Sarah Clare tells us what she thinks of Landy’s latest horrifying thriller

If you loved the razor-sharp wit and supernatural action that made ‘Skulduggery Pleasant’ the must-buy series it was, then prepare to get sucked into another Derek Landy creation: ‘Demon Road‘.

Sarah Clare applied to our YouReview and received a free book in exchange for an honest review.

What first attracted you to ‘Demon Road’? The cover. The title. The description! I got some cool promo stuff from the Young Adult Literature Convention earlier this year and I’ve been wearing my ‘Demon Road’ badge on my bag ever since!

Fave character? Milo. Hands down. He’s a badass. And the car. I want that car.

‘Demon Road’ is quite episodic. Did you enjoy all the different stops along ‘Demon Road’ or was it a little drawn out? Yes and no. I felt like some of the urgency was lost in places and the motivation became strained but it definitely picked itself back up towards the end.

Better than Skulduggery Pleasant?/If you haven’t read Skulduggery Pleasant, would you now consider it? I have wanted to start reading ‘Skullduggery Pleasant’ but I was a little intimidated by jumping in on a series so late! Landy is a solid writer so I would definitely consider starting it now.

Excited for the next book in this killer series? Yessss!
