Demi Lovato speaks out about mental health, it’s alright bb’s.

Our favourite Demi Lovato has once again spoken up about mental health and is urging society to view the topic with a more open mind. We couldn’t agree more!

In previous years Dems has suffered from mental illness herself including an eating disorder and addiction. During her recovery she has spoken up about her struggles in the hope of changing the stigmas surrounding mental health.

She told People that “I went through several years of pain and suffering, and I want to be able to help people and help try to prevent that suffering from happening.”

She went on to add that “I think it’s important that people no longer look at mental illness as something taboo to talk about. It’s something that’s extremely common.”

Dems is well on her way to changing the perceptions of mental health globally but she needs a bit of help so she’s meeting with law-makers in Washington, DC this week for the Be Vocal: Speak Up For Mental Health initiative.

We couldn’t be more proud of Demi and we know that she is well on her way to changing the way people look at mental health issues.
