5 fanfics we’re desperate to read after having our minds blown by Cursed Child – spoiler warning!

Now. We’ve seen ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ on stage twice and read the play – we’re not obsessed, shh. This story is mind-blowing and went in a direction so unexpected we couldn’t tear ourselves away, even when we already knew the story.

Needless to say, we had THOUGHTS and we had FEELINGS. And all of them spoilery so don’t read any further if you don’t want to know what happens in ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’!

We think it’s a Potter thing – every single moment of each story has the ability to spawn a million different fanfic options. Some sweet, some funny, some weird, and some downright horrible. And we want them all. These are some of the fanfics we were dying to read after devouring ‘Cursed Child’ (for the third time).

‘Blighted Love’

Bellatrix Lestrange is twisted, vengeful, and mad. She’s also been in love with Lord Voldemort since she joined his circle. He can’t feel love, doesn’t understand it, but she’s determined to prove herself the exception.

‘Housing Issues’

A Potter in Slytherin? Hogwarts never thought it’d see the day. The sons of legendary enemies Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter are thrown together – can their friendship heal the rift between their famous families?

‘The Augury’

An abandoned child raised by Death Eaters. Lord Voldemort’s daughter. The Augury. A terrifying prophecy. Delphi has quite a journey ahead of her.

‘Years in Between’

From a kiss fuelled by the fear of death to marriage to children to Minister of Magic and Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes. This is a story of the small moments, the quiet moments, between the two big battles in the lives of Hermione and Ron.

(None of these fanfics actually exist as far as we know, we just WANT them to.)

‘The New Headmistress’

Minerva McGonagall has big shoes to fill. And a whole load of mistakes to avoid as the new Headmistress of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Students to wrangle, a Ministry to keep in line and a world to put back together.
