When Sir Terry Pratchett sadly passed away in 2015 the whole of the book world mourned. He created one of the biggest, best and most mind-bending worlds literature has ever seen – the Discworld. A world suspended on the back of a giant turtle swimming through space spawned 41 novels and captured everyone’s imagination.

But these books and Sir Terry’s genius is still being celebrated and his books are still being discovered and read by people all over the world. It’s no wonder that Penguin are reissuing Tiffany Aching’s Discworld story in ridiculously beautiful covers, a hardback gift edition that all fans NEED on their shelves and a lovely new illustrated paperback.

QUIZ: What % heroine are you?

QUIZ: Which Tri-Wizard champion are you?

Are you ready? They’re gorgeous.

Sure? We’re not sure you’re ready, tbh.

Oh, fine. Here ya go.

Isn’t it completely stunning? Here’s what the illustrator of the gorgeous Collector’s Gift Edition hardback, Paul Kidby, had to say about creating one of the new covers:

Tiffany Aching and the Nac Mac Feegles are some of my favourite Discworld characters so I was delighted to have been asked to create new cover art for this fabulous deluxe edition of the series and re-visit the land of The Chalk with my pencil.

Laura Ellen Andersen had the treat of illustrating the brand new paperback of the first of Tiffany Aching’s adventures. It’s the first time a female artist has illustrated a book by Terry Pratchett!

I was truly honoured and extremely excited to illustrate this magical series by Sir Terry Pratchett. Bringing Tiffany Aching to life was a pure joy. She is a fantastically feisty and bold character; a true modern heroine and an inspiration to any reader. And not forgetting the teeny yet fierce Nac Mac Feegles!

But which one should you buy?

‘The Wee Free Men’ will be re-published on April 28th to celebrate Sir Terry’s birthday and the other four books in the series will hit shelves in May.
