POP BITS. Although not all is rosy in the world of Girls Aloud after ex-band member Kimberley Walsh revealed in her autobiography that she and the rest of the band had drifted from Nadine Coyle over the years, Cheryl Cole and Nicola Roberts are having none of this bitterness and have instead joined forces!
According to the rumour mill, Nicola, who has focused on songwriting over the last couple of years (she co-wrote ‘Something New’,we’ll have you know!), is helping Chezza pen some tracks for her new studio album, tipped to be released next year.
Apart from writing for the Girls Aloud reunion and co-writing her entire solo album, Ms. Roberts also wrote ‘Going Nowhere’ from Little Mix’s debut album and has been spotted in the studio with the LM girls whilst they work on their second offering. But it seems that Nic has been too busy to write for Cheryl previously. “I was trying to get her to write one but she didn’t have time. Cheers for that, too busy creating lipstick colours,” Cheryl joked last year.
Well, you’ve got your mits on her now, Cheryl! Why not get the rest of the girls together for one last song whilst you’re at it? Ah well, a pop blog can dream… POP BITS OUT.
