Cher Lloyd apologises to Cheryl Cole

Yesterday we reported that Cher Lloyd challenged former X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole to a sing off and then criticised her use of auto-tune, but in an effort to clear the air, Cher took the comments back this morning on Daybreak.

“Basically I said something on radio which I shouldn’t have said and it wasn’t intended to sound as bad as it did.” said Cher, before explaining that she really *would* love to perform live with Cheryl. “I just want to say sorry to her if she found that offensive. But at the end of the day, she is the person who got me to where I am today.”

Well we hope Cheryl heard the apology, because after the original remarks were made, she posted the mysterious tweet below:

As we always (well, sometimes) say here at MP!, it’s all about the music at the end of the day – and we reckon it would be amazing to see these two perform together. Someone make this happen please?
