Charli XCX moves back her album release to next year, boo!

Charli XCX; that girl from the chorus of ‘Fancy’, has delayed the release of her new album ‘Sucker’ (great title) meaning it won’t be out until January 26th.

But… why? ‘Boom Clap’ has been one of the tunes of the summer, surely its the right time to drop it while it’s hot. Well, Charli has said the following “Boom Clap’ is still getting so much love all over the world, which is crazy, and it just makes sense so I have proper time to focus on the album launch.”

We don’t really get it to be honest but each to their own. This news makes us sad though, because we DO care, we love it (it being pop, of course!).

In a good news/bad news thing, here’s the good news: Charli is supporting Katy Perry of the European leg of her Prismatic Tour in Feb/March next year – so for all your European (not UK) MP!-ers, you’ll be in for a double dose of top-notch pop ladies. Charli herself is doing a UK gig on the 30th October at Heaven, FYI.

Here’s Charli’s new single, ‘Break the Rules’, out October 12th. Hopefully it’ll ease the wait for you Charli’s Angels.
