MP! Reviews: Capital FM’s Summertime Ball

We sent down new superstar MP! journalist, Daniel to Capital FM’s Summertime Ball. He stalks pop stars so you don’t have to, no seriously. He casually bumped into The Vamps in his hotel. Sneaky.

This weekend saw Capital FM’s Summertime Ball hit Wembley Stadium and it certainly had a poptastic banger of a line-up. Artists such as 5 Seconds of Summer, Cheryl Cole, Miley Cyrus, David Guetta, Nathan Sykes, The Vamps and Rita Ora smashed it over the jam packed day.

Miley Cyrus tore the stage apart with her performance. Performing her number 1 hits “Wrecking Ball”, “We Can’t Stop” and a throwback to “Party In The USA” – she made it clear she was there to party! With a mass amount of rubber ducks & a country dance, she was certainly the best of the night.

Making his solo debut, Nathan Sykes took to the stage as a surprise artist with Jessie J.

Aussie four piece 5 Seconds of Summer also took to the stage, sending 80,000 fans into a mass hysteria! And we can see why…

British sensation The Vamps also performed a number of songs, including their latest single “Somebody To You” featuring Demi Lovato.

I was lucky enough to stay in the same hotel as Nathan and The Vamps. All the guys are extremely genuine and awesome, I even gave them a quick sniff. I can confirm they all had a pleasant aroma.

Roll on Jingle Bell Ball!
