Alarm Pop: Cady Groves- ‘Forget You’

It’s Alarm Pop Time! It’s that special time of the week where we bring you some of the brightest and newest talent with some of the best amazepop around, to help you through your day.

Today’s Alarm Pop is a young girl (well, 23 but she looks a little younger) who goes by the name of Cady Groves. Cady is an American singer-songwriter from Oklahoma City. Her latest song ‘Forget You’ is not a cover of Cee Lo Green’s hit by the same name but is a brand new pop masterpiece that will be featured on the Smurfs 2 soundtrack with some other awesome pop tracks.

‘Forget You’ is a perfect example of bubble gum pop, which is executed brilliantly with Cady’s unique tone, vocals and a slight country twang.  The track is also a contender for the “Best Use of ‘You’ In A Song” award, but will have stiff competition from Union J! It’s a little bit Carly Rae Jepsen and a whole lotta great. The song is instantly catchy, top-tappingly addictive and definitely not a song that you will forget in a hurry.

This fizzy dosage of pop could be a massive Summer smash. Don’t believe us? Give the song a whirl below and see for yourself.
