Some people love Fridays because it’s the last day of school or work. Others love it because they’re still not over Rebecca Black. We love it because it means we have a brand new chart.
Here are the best and worst things happening on this week’s chart:
🔼 Drake is number one on both the single and album charts. We still love ‘One Dance’ and the album is pretty good too.
🔼 Calvin Harris (feat. Rihanna) is at number two. As much as we like this song, we wonder whether it would be this high if it wasn’t by these two.
🔼 Zara Larsson still has two songs in the Top 10 this week. Fun fact: there hasn’t been a Top 10 without Zara Larsson in it since 18th February.
🔼 Ariana Grande’s ‘Dangerous Woman’ is edging closer to the top 20. The power of the 59p song.
🔼 Nick Jonas (feat. Tove Lo) has entered the top 40 for the first time, sitting at 39.
🔽 That dull cover of Robyn’s ‘Dancing On My Own’ is in the top 40. Please buy the original instead.
🔽 Zedd and Kesha have limped in at 78. In comparison, Sia’s ‘Chandelier’ is at 81, and that song is ancient.
🔽 Not all of ‘Lemonade’ is in the top 100 this week. ‘Forward’ has fallen out of the chart.
🔽 Over on the album chart, Katy B’s ‘Honey’ has fallen out of the top 100 after just one week. Bleak.
🔽 And finally, after 80 weeks in the top 40, Taylor Swifts ‘1989’ falls to 45.
