There’s a new teen pop siren on the scene and, we’re not even kidding you, she is smoking hot. Somebody alert the fire department.
19-year old singer/songwriter Bonnie Anderson won Australia’s Got Talent when she was just a wee, young girl seven years ago, singing to millions of viewers and regular talent show judge Dannii Minogue.
Bonnie only just entered our radar because she took time out after winning the show to fine-tune her craft and have a life like any normal, ultra talented teenage girl would.
She opened for Olly Murs on his Australian tour last year and waved around her debut single ‘Raise The Bar‘ – an infectious, radio candy pop tune that sadly didn’t get enough traction to make the Australian Top 50.
Bonnie’s now turning heads with ‘Blackout’ – a pulsating dance track with an American R&B touch that recalls Katy Perry’s ‘Dark Horse’. She co-wrote the song with the same people in RedOne’s hit-making team who have worked with Austin Mahone and Big Time Rush.
But behind the elaborately-produced singles, you can hear warm soulful tones in Bonnie’s voice, which lends itself beautifully to acoustic performances like this cover of Clean Bandit’s UK #1 single ‘Rather Be’:
Bonnie has the potential to be a versatile pop performer who can turn out a sexy pop video and still own stripped-back acoustic performances. What do you think of her style?
