Here at MP! Style, we love keeping up with the latest fashion bloggers and constantly find ourselves inspired by their style and passion. We spoke to Victoria Magrath from Inthefrow about her experience as a successful style blogger, and here’s what she had to say.
Blogging has become increasingly popular over the years. What made you first want to start a blog?
I started a few years back after I had stumbled upon someone else’s blog and had become so obsessed. I just loved how someone could write openly about what they were wearing or using, and others would enjoy reading it. And I became totally hooked and had to start my own!
Can you tell us about your personal style? Where do you get your fashion inspiration from?
For my own style, I draw inspiration from a lot of people I admire, such as Victoria Beckham, Gigi Hadid or Kendall Jenner. People whose styles I adore and who wear them so well. I try to take small pieces of their look and make them my own. At the moment I adore really tailored jackets and skinny jeans. But I also love looking through Instagram or Pinterest for further inspiration. Fashion inspiration is everywhere!
What’s the one item in your wardrobe that you can’t live without?
At the moment, I’m truly in love with anything by Gianvito Rossi. Their shoes are by far the comfiest on the luxury market. They might be pricey, but they will last so long and I can walk for miles in mine. They’re so comfy!
What spring fashion trend are you most looking forward to?
I have so many trips coming up soon, so I’m really looking forward to shoe trends, with mules, strappy wedges and backless loafers definitely on my list of must-buys! I’m also really loving bucket bags right now – I think they’ll be so cute for holidays!
We love pop stars here at MP! Who’s your celebrity style icon and why?
In music, I love Gwen Stefani’s style, she’s always so cool, bright and daring. I think Gwen is a real inspiration to so many being so successful, raising a family and looking gorgeous doing it!
Finally, what advice do you have for aspiring bloggers?
For those aspiring to start blogging, I’d definitely say to ask yourself if you have the time. To build a blog to the point where you could potentially work full time through it can take a really long time and a lot of passion for it. For those who want to blog as a hobby and for the fun, then it’s perfect! Its a great way to relax and enjoy writing. But for those hoping to make it into a career, I wish I knew what the winning, successful formula was but passion for your writing is certainly essential!
