The 10 best whistle songs of all time, including Selena Gomez’s new single ‘Kill ‘Em With Kindness’

We’ve been loving Selena Gomez‘s new single and its effortlessly cool, smooth whistle hook.

That got us to thinking. Quite a few artists have made good use of a nifty whistle hook over the years and, when done right, it can be super catchy and effective. Here’s some of our ultimate faves:

Flo Rida – ‘Whistle’

What list of whistle songs would be complete without Flo Rida‘s tribute to a good ol’ blow 😂.

Adam Lambert – ‘Ghost Town’ 😈

This is the song which all but revived Adam Lambert‘s solo career. ‘Ghost Town’ is a ghoulishly delightful, witch house-inspired dance song which became one of Glambert’s biggest hits, mostly thanks to the simple, yet haunting whistle hook.

Hilary Duff – ‘Sparks’

Such is Hilary Duff‘s love for a good whistle that she chose to base her big comeback single around it. Must have worked because it became her seventh US Billboard Chart hit!

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes – ‘Home’

One to play whenever you’re missing home 😁.

Flo Rida feat. Robin Thicke – ‘I Don’t Like It, I Love It’

Flo Rida again! He just loves a good whistle hook, doesn’t he?

Peter, Bjorn & John – ‘Young Folks’

This song just makes us oh so chilled out. Nothing bad could happen to you while listening to Peter, Bjorn and John.

Jason Derulo feat. Snoop Dogg – ‘Wiggle’

Jason Derulo has us all whistle wigglin’ with this saucy jam.

Maroon 5 feat. Christina Aguilera – ‘Moves Like Jagger’

Maroon 5 proved that everyone loves a whistle when this Xtina-assisted jam became one of the biggest selling singles EVER.

Bobby McFerrin – ‘Don’t Worry, Be Happy’

Aaaand… just be happy ’cause that’s what whistles do 😎.

If you love it when pop stars give a little whistle then give us a bell @maximumpop.
