X Factor winner Ben Haenow releases debut single ‘Something I Need’

X Factor winner and all round stud muffin Ben Haenow has released his debut single – and it’s already number one on iTunes.

Ben’s winner’s single, a cover of OneRepublic’s ‘Something I Need’, has already sold over 35,000 copies.

Are you surprised? Have you SEEN that face?

The physical copy of ‘Something I Need’ – arriving in shops Wednesday morning – will also feature recordings of Ben’s X Factor performances ‘Jealous Guy’, ‘Highway To Hell’ and ‘Man In The Mirror’.

The release of ‘Something I Need’ will be in aid of children’s charity Together for Short Lives, with Syco donating 100% of its profits from the sale of each CD and download and also from streaming to the charity. This is expected to be at least £1 for each CD and 20p for each download.

Simon Cowell had to say about the charity: “Together for Short Lives is such an inspiring and important charity which supports children all over the country. The money we hope to raise will really make a difference.” See… he does have a soft side really.

Along with his whopping £1million recording contract (as if that wasn’t enough), Ben has also won the headlining slot on next year’s X Factor Live Tour, tickets can be bought from Gigs and Tours.
