There’s definitely a case of girl power at the top of the charts again this week. The super trio Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj have scored the top spot with over a staggering 92,000 downloads and 800,000 steams of ‘Bang Bang’.
‘Bang Bang’ is the lead single off Jessie J’s new album ‘Sweet Talker’ out later this year.
Speaking to OfficialCharts.com Jessie J said.
“I want to say thank you, thank you, thank you for making me Number 1. Bang Bang is the first single off my new album Sweet Talker and for it to be such a success around the world means so much to me. To be Number 1 for in the UK for the first time in three years… I’m going to celebrate every minute of it, I might even go bowling?!”
Meanwhile you’re all still loving shaking it off with Taylor Swift, she’s up two places in the Number 3 spot while Calvin Harris and John Newman’s former Number 1 ‘Blame’ is at 4, claiming the title of Britain’s most streamed song this week.
Meghan Trainor has become the first ever artist to chart in the UK’s Official Singles Chart Top 40 based on streams alone. ‘All About That Bass’ isn’t due for it’s full UK release until next week and finds itself climbing 20 places today entering at Number 33 after receiving a HUGE 1.17 million streams this week alone.
