It’s Alarm Pop Time, that special time of the day where we give you a track that is guaranteed to deliver Vitamins A, B, C and D as well as all 8 of your essential amino acids (WARNING: May not contain any of these).
Today’s Alarm Pop comes to us courtesy of a fine specimen of a man named Asher Monroe. Let’s take a moment to look at his picture before delving into his urban pop smash ‘Hush Hush’ *pauses for several minutes*.
Oh Asher, where have you been all our lives? Well he has actually been around for quite sometime in one form or another. He made his debut as Chip in the stage production of Beauty and The Beast and went onto play Oliver in ‘Oliver’. He then starred in TV film ‘Pop Rocks’ before landing roles in Zoey 101 and Medium. We hope you’re keeping up, there will be a test at the end of this! Asher then joined R&B/ Pop boyband, V Factory, before going on to star in the 2010 remake of Fame. Then, in 2011, he started his solo career. Whew! That’s a lot for a person to do in 24 years.
Asher Monroe’s new single ‘Hush Hush’ is a bit R&B and a lot of POP, which is what we like to hear! He has a standout vocal performance throughout the track, sounding almost Usher-esque. Monroe and ‘Hush Hush’ could easily tackle the giants in today’s charts like Justin Timberlake or Bruno Mars. The song is instantly amazing and it’s impossible to stop your heading from bopping along to the addictive beat.
Give the ‘Hush Hush’ lyric vid a play below! There is an official video but unfortunately it’s not available to us over here in the UK yet but we are expecting some global ripples from this track.
