‘Gallagher Girls’ 10th Anniversary, Henry Cavill and girls vs boys: Highlights from the Ally Carter Twitter Takeover

On February 17th we had the excellent Ally Carter, author of the ‘Gallagher Girls’, ‘Heist Society’ and ‘Embassy Row’ series’ take over our Twitter for an hour! Readers sent in their questions about everything from books to writing to fantasy castings.

Here are some of our favourite moments from the chat!

Reader Valerie asked Ally if anything special would be occurring for the upcoming tenth anniversary of the first book in the ‘Gallagher Girls’ series, and we’re hoping this won’t just be in the US because EXCITING!

Ira asked Ally about her love for Henry Cavill:

Ally was asked by Ashley about her favourite character to write:

Kevin wanted to know about the chaos it would cause if Noah and Hale spent the day together.

It turns out that Ally loves Holly Black and E Lockhart just as much as we do:

Ally was asked a really interesting question about the differences between writing for girls and writing for boys by Ira:

And the most exciting question of all, what’s coming next after book three in the ‘Embassy Row’ series:

Then Ally revealed some MORE super exciting news for US readers, and we’re hoping that we’ll get to see this in the UK too:

We loved having Ally take over our Twitter and we’d have her back in a heartbeat, but in the mean time, she can be found at @OfficiallyAlly and we’re @maximumpopbooks!
