Author Apprecition: 8 Reasons why we think Alice Oseman is pretty awesome

radiosilenceAlice Oseman stormed onto the YA scene last year with her debut ‘Solitaire’ and pretty much blew everyone away. Her story of Tori Spring’s struggle to exist in her life while tryign to unravel a mystery is unflinching and brutally honest – it was hailed as ”The Catcher in the Rye’ for the Digital Age’ by ‘The Times’! And now she’s back with her second offering, ‘Radio Silence’, and we’re filled with love all over again.

But if you’re not on the Alice Oseman bandwagon yet, here’s why you should be:

  1. You know those teenage trials and tribulations that get written about in YA? Alice is experiencing them right now!

2. Alice is yet to pummel someone for talking about her age more than her wonderful books.

3. She made her own book trailer. Yeah, really.

4. Alice is a brilliant artist. Take a look at her Tumblr, Space Zeros, here – but just make sure you have an hour or so free first…

5. She just understands what the world really needs.

6. Her emoji game is on point.

7. Priorities? Completely in the right place.

8. Alice has got YA’s back.
