It doesn’t seem like laryngitis is getting Luke Hemmings down too much as he’s been chatting away to radio stations about how 5 Seconds of Summer’s second studio album is almost completed. That’s right, IT’S NEARLY DONE. THAT MEANS WE CAN BUY IT SOON AND LEARN ALL THE WORDS AND GO TO MORE TOURS AND OH MY GOD, JUST TAKE OUR MONEY NOW.
Chatting to our other favourite pop-punk band All Time Low for their radio show Full Frontal (when did that happen?), Luke filled us in on exactly what going on with #5SOS2
“We’ve written the whole record as far as we know. It’s basically all recorded almost, there’s a few more things to do and then we’ll put it out, put a single out. You know how it works – single, single, album.”
We love singles and singles and albums.
Michael Clifford also put his piece in, confirming that the tracks that the boys worked on with All Time Low have made the final cut. Hurrah!
All Time Low’s Alex Gaskarth also chipped in, letting us all know how nice it was to help out their successors: “They’re such good dudes and I see a lot of us in them—they remind me of us at that age, so it’s awesome to help guide them and pass the torch.”
It’s like the pop-punk olympics, isn’t it?
