5SOS headlined Madison Square Garden last night and we are SO PROUD

We. Are. Dead.

Last night a small band from Sydney, Australia, played a sold out show at Madison Square Garden, AKA the world’s most famous arena and we’re really not fine at all.

kylie-crying

5SOS took to the stage and performed in front of 18,000 people and lived their dreams.

The boys debuted their new single ‘Girls Talk Boys’ live for the first time and we actually feel like we had an out-of-body experience when we watched the video.

Ashton, Luke, Calum and Michael soaked in the screaming and it did get a bit emotional, particularly during the crowd favourite and Michael-centric, ‘Jet Black Heart’.

There were a lot of powerful and quotable statements from the boys, including Michael’s message of solidarity:

“I know it sounds sappy – it’s not meant to be cheesy – but there is a lot of shit happening in the world right now. There’s a lot of bad shit happening, and I’m sure everybody is aware of it, and it sucks. So, I’ve said this a few times already, but it definitely means more saying it onstage and talking to you like this. People like you who come to music concerts like this, you come to have a good time and to spread love. All that we ask of you tonight is to have a good time and to love someone here tonight. Maybe even make love, if you wish.”

Um, if it’s to you, we’re game.

Ashton also had some pretty memorable quotes, too. “Dreams do come true, huh? You guys can do anything, I just want you to know that. This show will be remembered even when I can’t play the drums anymore.”

Well, we’re going to curl up in a ball and cry now. From the Annandale Hotel to MSG, our boys have made it.
