It’s a good time to be in 5 Seconds of Summer right now. On the road on a sell out arena tour and recording their second album, the boys have now been hailed as the biggest pop-punk band in the world. And Billboard think they’re only going to get bigger, even saying they could go on to be bigger than Fall Out Boy and All Time Low.
Billboard say in their article on the lads: “Fall Out Boy has always been rooted in rock, but Pete Wentz was a heartthrob that looked transported from another genre. All Time Low came close to reaching crossover success in the mid-to-late 00’s, but never quite made it; they’re actually closer to it now, perhaps thanks to 5 Seconds of Summer’s constant co-signing of the veteran group. When all is said and done, 5SOS could very well be bigger than either of those bands,”
Michael from the band was very happy with the article, tweeting to his followers that it “really gets to the core of what we’re trying to achieve.”
